There are days when attendance offences aren't recorded. They include:
weekdays that aren't part of the worktime (e.g. weekend),
any added holidays,
and leaves that employees request.
Anything else counts as a working day.
An employee can request 3 different types of leave:
Personal leave: This is a paid leave that an employee can take anytime, but only as long as there’s enough leave balance. Employees can check their leave balance and see the yearly increment from their personal page.
Example: If an employee's leave balance is 21 days, this means they can take no more than 21 working days.
Excused Leave: This is a paid leave without a limited balance. You take it, for example, in emergencies like sickness.
Unpaid Leave: This is unpaid leave, so there’s no balance for it. The pay for days you’re off will be deducted from your salary.
From the sidebar, click on My Requests. The requests page will show up.
Click on the Create Request button. A list of request types will appear.
Choose Leave. The leave request page will show up and has several fields (click the button below to learn more about them).
Leave Type
Choose the type of leave you want to request here.
Start Date and End Date
In these fields, you can enter the start and end dates of the leave you want to request. When filling this section, make sure that:
The requested leave time doesn't overlap with another leave,
The requested leave duration doesn't exceed your personal leave balance (if the type of leave is personal). You can check your balance on your profile page.
Attachment
Here, for example, you can attach your medical excuse if you're sick and requesting leave for this reason, or any other attachments.
Fill out the leave request details, then click the confirm button.
You can view, edit, or delete the request after creating it from My requests page.
