If the offences detection system is enabled, it will automatically detect offences. For example, if an employee is late checking in, a late offence will be recorded automatically.
Offences can be cancelled in different ways:
The employee can submit requests and, if they get approved, the system will automatically update the status of the related offences.
Request a petition: An employee can request a petition for a specific offence. If the request is approved, the offence status will become petitioned, and the related penalty will be cancelled.
Time Off request: An employee can request a permission to attend late or leave early for a past dat. If the request gets approved, the late and early leave offences for that day will be deleted automatically.
Leave request: The employee can put in a leave request for a past day. If it's approved, any offences recorded for that day will be deleted automatically.
Timesheet change request: Employees can put in a request to add, edit, or delete an attendance record. If approved, the system will update the status of offences based on the new state of the attendance records after the change.
Example: If an employee forgets to check out, an absence offence might get recorded. If they submit an add attendance record request and it gets approved, that offence will be deleted automatically.
The admin has several actions they can take to cancel offences:
Add holiday: If the admin adds a holiday in the system on a previous date, any offences registered on the holiday days will be removed automatically. Check How do I add or delete a holiday?
Delete or mark an offence as petitioned: The admin can delete a specific offence or mark it as petitioned directly from the offences report. For more info, check How do I mark offence as petitioned or delete it manually?
